Quick, Reliable, Durable & Proven Design. When trying to locate leaking tubes the
Vacuum Leak Detector VLD-2500 is the Industry standard. Manufactured with the end
user in mind, it is virtually foolproof and indestructible. Seal off one end of the suspect
tube(s) with either a rubber tube plug (see our Tube Plug section for sizes) or the
T-Handle with an attached nozzle; then insert the Vacuum Leak Detector into tube to
be tested and depress the trigger, a loss of vacuum indicates a leaking tube. The
VLD-2500 has a filter system to prevent debris inside the tube from clogging the tool.

 FEATURES
Finds leaks by pressurizing the tube with air while plugging
the other end. Insert guns into the tube to be tested. Actuate
pressurizing gun by depressing the trigger, the plugging gun
seals automatically when pressurizing. After supply pressure
is reached, or 100 PSIG (whichever is less), release trigger.
If the pressure holds...the tube is OK, if it drops...the tube is
leaking - Simple.
• Quick and safe pressure testing of 7 to 8 tubes
per minute
• Interchangeable seal sets allow testing of tube ID’s
from .310” (7.75mm) to 1.21” (30.63mm)

Tests rolled or welded tube sheet joints by vacuum pressure.
Insert nozzle into the tube and press face of the gun into the
clean tube sheet joint being tested. Actuate gun to generate the
vacuum, if pressure fails to hold...there is a leak.
