What Is a Purge Blind?
A purge blind isolates the line like a standard slip blind, but the purge side of the disc has milled channels that run to the outside edge. With the flanges bolted up, purge gas flows through the channels, giving you a controlled standoff at the flange instead of a gap forced open by hand.

What Are Purge Blinds Used For?
- Line purging: purge gas in or out at the flange while the line stays isolated
- Weld purging: inert gas shielding for clean, high-quality welds, protected from the atmosphere
- Maintenance isolation: keeps the rest of the system online during targeted work
Standard EZ Purge blinds are for isolation only. For hydrotesting, order the hydrotest version, built with a thicker non-purged side.

Can I hydrotest against the non-purged side?
Not with a standard blind, which is designed for isolation only. Tell us when you order and we'll build a hydrotest version with a thicker non-purged side.
Are EZ Purge blinds available for rental?
Yes, for rental or purchase. See rentals.
Can you provide documentation proving material origin?
Yes. Mill test reports (MTRs) and country of origin documentation are available on request.
