Why do you need the exact tube I.D.?
We turn down the ring to fit your tube's inside diameter, so you get a better fit and a better seal.
Will these plugs damage my tube sheet?
The ring seals uniformly along its entire length, so two-piece plugs won't damage the tube sheet on a Fin-Fan® unit, heat exchanger, boiler, or condenser.
Do I need to vent the tube before installation?
Yes. Always puncture leaking tubes before installing a plug to prevent pressure buildup, which can turn the plug into a dangerous projectile.
What tolerance do you turn the ring to?
Our lathes hold +/- .005".
Can you customize the ring and pin length?
Yes. We'll customize any part of the plug to your needs.
Are these plugs returnable?
No. Because each plug is made to your exact I.D., we can't accept returns.
