Tapered tube plugs are generally installed with a hammer. We strongly suggest using a tube cutter to puncture the inside of your tube before installing to prevent pressure building up over time and creating dangerous projectiles.

Because of uncontrolled and inconsistent installation practices for standard tapered plugs, we don't provide a rating classification. It's heavily dependent on installation methods and best practices. For rated tube plugs, we strongly suggest you utilize our Snap It Tube Plugs.
