Conventional Snap It® Installation & Removal Kit
The hydraulic ram is a simple, safe, and fast way to install Snap It® Jr. and Sr. tube plugs. The air-driven pump runs on 80–120 lbs of supply air @ 20 CFM, and everything for near end work ships in a wheeled storage case. For far end and through-the-tube plugging, add extension assemblies and a Channel Head Pull Rod Assembly (CHPRA).

Tube Brushes
Brushing out pitting and corrosion is the most important step to a good seal. Snap It® Jr. brush kits include 3 to 4 brushes; use the smallest one that cleans the tube. Snap It® Sr. brushes are made for the exact tube size ordered.
Pull Rods & CHPRA
The pull rod assembly sets the plug and is fully interchangeable with competitor systems, with several plug positioners per pull rod size. Channel head pull rod assemblies and extension sets reach plugs behind channel heads and through the tube.
Removal Tool
Pulls the pin and ring in seconds without damaging the tube or tubesheet, so a new plug can go in the same spot right away.
- Screw the spear stud into the installed pin.
- Use the slide hammer to dislodge the pin.
- Screw the spear into the ring and pull out the remaining pieces.

Puncture the Tube First
Always puncture the tube before installing any plug, so pressure can't build up behind it and loosen or blow out the plug. The One-Rev Internal Tube Cutter punctures a tube in a single revolution and works with the Snap It® system.

What's the difference between the SureSnap Pro™ and conventional kits?
Both install Snap It® Jr. and Sr. plugs. The SureSnap Pro™ is battery powered and needs no plant air, pump, or hoses, and is built for near end work. The conventional kit uses a hydraulic ram with an air-driven pump that runs on plant air, and also handles far end and through-the-tube plugging.
Can I rent a kit instead of buying one?
Yes. Both the SureSnap Pro™ and conventional kits are available to rent or buy, and in-stock kits ship within 24 hours.
What if I don't need the entire kit?
We rent or sell individual parts, including tube brushes, hydraulic tools, pull rod assemblies, channel head pull rod assemblies, extensions, and plug removal tools.
I already own installation tools. Do I need yours?
Probably not. Snap It® plugs need zero proprietary equipment. Call us and we'll confirm your tools will work. If not, we offer short-term rental and purchase.
How long does it take to install a Snap It® plug?
Once you've installed a few, prep and installation take less than 60 seconds per plug, with no welding.
What pressure do Snap It® plugs hold?
Snap It® Jr. plugs are rated to 1,000 PSID and Snap It® Sr. plugs to 7,000 PSID. In independent testing, blowout pressures have exceeded 18,000 and 28,000 PSID.
What materials are Snap It® plugs made in?
Any standard or exotic metal. We regularly make tube plugs in more than 20 materials, including 70/30 and 90/10 CuNi, brass, carbon steel, chrome/moly, Hastelloy, Inconel, Monel, Nickel 200, 304 and 316 stainless, titanium, and zirconium.
